Book Description
This is a handbook on world government which is also known as "the New World Order," a phrase first used by President George Bush in 1990.

I am asking that world government and New World Order be linked. When I first started reading about the "New World Order" I had no idea that it was world government...no one ever made the connection for me. We have to explain that they are one in the same.

Many Americans know or feel somthing is very wrong, but are not able to put their finger on the problem. This book will help them to connect the dots - politically, economically, and environmentally. "Global Straitjacket" will explain the Hegelian Dialectic, "reinventing government," public-private partnerships and how it replaces the Constitution, "globalization," the move toward a world stock market and a cashless society, an international criminal court which transcends national boundaries, and much more. Above all it will provide the reader with an understanding of the governmental aspects of the United Nations and how its power transcends from the international to the local level, all with the blessings of our federal government.

Joan Veon writes: "Jesus Christ was born into world government. The early church certainly understood the rules of Rome and worked around and through it without becoming part of it or adding to it. In contrast, the end-time church is going into world government without knowing or understanding its agenda, and therefore blind as to how to stand in the gap."

Above all, this book is a call to stand in the gap which is our God-given mandate - and the bottom line to our total existence and Christian call!

About the Author
Up until September 1994, Joan Veon was just a businesswoman. As a result of attending her first United Nations conference in Cairo, Egypt, she received her "wake-up call," as there was more going on at the global level than most Americans knew, understood, or were being told.

In her determination to understand the global level and what it really means for Americans, she has attended more than twenty-five U.N. and U.N.-related conferences since September 1994 on topics ranging from the social to the economic, the environment and reinventing the government. The level of conference has varied as well, from the U.N. mega-conferences in Cairo, Copenhagen, Istanbul, and Rome, to IMF/World Bank meetings, to Group of Seven/Group of Eight meetings, the International Organization for Security Commissions, the Rio plus Five in March 1997, the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and the fiftieth anniversary of NATO.

Joan has reported for USA Radio Network, the Michael Reagan Show, the Jane Chastain Show, and the Lou Epton Show, to name a few.

As an international journalist, Joan has asked questions of presidents, prime ministers, key United Nations/IMF/World Bank officials, Bank for International Settlements executives, high officials in the Clinton administration, multinational CEO, and others in order to understand the global agenda and how it relates to the local level.

In her capacity as a businesswoman for fifteen years, Joan writes a quarterly economic newsletter which has become more global in its reporting in an effort to identify and name key economic players. Her firm, Veon Financial Services, Inc., is a Registered Investment Advisor.

In order to help with the expenses of covering international conferences, Joan started the Women's International Media Group, Inc., which is a 501(c)(3) educational corporation. Those looking to help inform others are welcome to support this endeavor.

Lastly, Joan has authored a number of briefing books documenting her research. Her book "Prince Charles: The Sustainable Prince," which is in its third printing, discusses her view of world politics which states that when America signed the U.N. Charter we officially entered world government and reverted back to Britain. She documents the partnership between the Prince of Wales, the United Nations, and the World Bank. She shows the real Prince Charles as a very powerful man to watch!
