Horst Reschke, Editor of the Q&A column, "Questions on Germanic Ancestry," Heritage Quest Magazine, Fall 1995, review of first edition
When the Research Guide to German-American Genealogy was first published a few years ago, I was impressed with its scholarly, yet easy-to-use format. Now we are fortunate to have a new edition with the revised title "Germanic Genealogy: A Guide to Worldwide Sources and Migration Patterns" and what I thought to be a near perfect handbook to the Germanic researcher, has yet been improved and expanded. This book answers a multitude of questions the beginner encounters in the struggle with the complexities of Germanic genealogy. But it also contains a wealth of information for the more seasoned researcher. We owe a debt of gratitude to the dedicated authors who created this great research tool.
