About the Author

With a PhD in Chemistry from Duke University, Dr. Harold F. Giles, Jr. has over 25 years of diverse experience in the plastics industry. His background includes product and process development at E.I. DuPont, Bayer Chemical Corporation, GE Plastics, and Azdel along with teaching at the University of North Carolina Polymer Extension Program. Dr. Giles has been training operators, engineers, and managers in all areas of extrusion. Dr. Giles is currently employed by PPG Industries in the development of reinforcements for thermoplastics.
