The new town of Riem, currently being built near Munich, was chosen as the location for the creation of 20 art projects designed by internationally renowned artists to be installed over a four-year period. The projects, situated between building site and new architecture, are presented here through texts and illustrations. Lydia Hartl, Claudia Büttner, Hartmut Häußermann, Heinz Schütz, and Stella Rollig contribute scholarly articles on the conception and realization of the project.
About the Author
CLAUDIA BÜTTNER, geboren 1965, ist promovierte Kunsthistorikerin, Kuratorin und Kritikerin. Sie konzipierte und leitete kunstprojekte_riem von 1999 bis 2003.
