In this unit, students take a simulated flight across England during the Middle Ages in various types of unusual "flying machines." They accumulate mileage by studying the history and literature of the period, completing drawings of the period's architecture, exploring the period's literature, and completing research projects. This simulation was designed to give high-ability learners the opportunity to explore aspects of the Late Middle Ages in an in-depth fashion and given a great deal more choice than they might get otherwise.
The Simulation Series is made up of six exciting simulations designed to teach content while also helping students develop problem-solving skills. Each edition includes a teacher's guide, a student handbook, and blackline masters tha can be copied for classroom participation.
