About the Author
Jan Lee Wicker has taught children in pre-kindergarten through first grade for the last 23 years. She currently teaches kindergarten in Weldon, North Carolina. Her class mascots, twin flamingo Beanie Babies, were her inspiration to teach her students more about flamingos. She lives in Roanoke Rapids with her husband and has two grown sons.
