As international concern about global warming and sustainable development becomes more pressing, governments, business, and the public all need reliable and harmonized data on the environment, including the ways it is affected by economic activity. This Compendium, revised and updated every two years, presents a wide variety of data on the state of air, water, wildlife, etc., for OECD countries and links it with activity in economic sectors such as energy, transport, industry, and agriculture. Data are generally provided for the period 1980-1995, although for some series, data is only provided for selected years. See the listing below for tables provided.
